Every life is a journey and Becky Hayden’s adventure is packed full of sweetness. Moving to Sarasota after graduating from East Carolina University in 2009, she pursued work in her degree of communications and marketing. But the down turn in the economy created an opportunity for Becky to discover her passion for creating edible works of art. After completing a series of cake decorating classes, her passion and creativity lead her to Heavenly Cupcakes. Being a lifelong athlete, Becky was educated in nutrition and dedicated to quality ingredients. Today, Heavenly Cupcakes offers a piece of heaven for everyone, with wickedly delicious cupcakes ranging from your traditional recipes to gluten-free, paleo, and vegan. With 18 flavors available daily, and specials throughout the week, Becky is thankful for her customers and employees that really make her life all the sweeter!

Meet the Team
Becky is a go-getter and a perfectionist, sprinkled with creativeness and topped with a sense of humor. She continues to try new recipes that push her comfort zone when it comes to unfamiliar ingredients and strives to offer a piece of heaven for everyone. The cupcakes range from traditional to gluten free, paleo, and vegan. When Becky isn’t in the bakery, she enjoys working out, traveling, and networking with other business owners. She seizes every opportunity and also started an energy bar company called Purely Paleo. In addition to her businesses, she recently got married to her husband, Larry, and has now become Mrs. Becky Hayden. Life is good.

I am a recent college graduate from the University of South Florida. I majored in Communication Sciences and Disorders, and hope to continue my education at the master’s level in the near future. My passion for baking was instilled in me at a young age by my mother. We would spend days in the kitchen baking together and preparing for every family event or holiday. My favorite activity at Heavenly Cupcakes is having the opportunity to be creative and decorate cakes. When I am not in the bakery, my hours are spent with my horse. I try not to take life too seriously, and strive to make others laugh, even if it is just at the crazy things I do. My goal in life is to be better, and impact everyone I come in contact with; after all, life is supposed to be sweet!

I was born and raised here in Venice/Sarasota, graduating from Venice High in 2008. I have always enjoyed baking and trying new things in the baking world. I continue to improve my skills every day here at the shop. I also love to travel and explore and go spelunking (cave exploring) with my husband #TeamMangled. In 2016 my husband and I traveled to Uganda, Africa! Being able to help others is a true passion of mine. We got married in October 2016, shortly after returning from Africa. I’m always up for new challenges and usually respond with a simple “okie dokie!” My favorite animal is a cheetah because they are fierce like me…
